Common questions from IT and procurement
GetAFix separates the application tier (the app servers, background jobs, AI and integrations) from the data tier (the database where your workshop, customer and financial data lives). In the hybrid option, your IT team deploys the database inside your own VPC or data centre. Our application connects to it via private, encrypted networking. Your data never sits on our servers — only moves through them, in-memory, to serve your users.
AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and your own data centre. We support managed database services (RDS, Azure SQL, Cloud SQL) as well as self-managed PostgreSQL on VMs. Specific requirements are confirmed during the technical discovery call.
Full on-premise deployment (app + DB) is available for a small number of large-enterprise and OEM customers. It carries additional licensing and support terms because you operate more of the stack. Talk to sales.
Only what you grant via network policy. You can restrict to the specific private IPs of the GetAFix application tier and rotate credentials on your schedule. Every query is audit-logged. During a support incident you explicitly approve a time-boxed support access that your team can revoke.
Real-world performance is essentially identical — the application tier and database communicate over a private, low-latency link inside your cloud region. For most customers the user-facing experience is indistinguishable from pure SaaS.
